Alen Yousif
owner/operator
Alen Yousif is the Owner and Operator of King Cut Barbershop and a proud third-generation barber. Growing up watching his father behind the chair, Alen developed a passion for barbering at an early age and began cutting hair for family and friends when he was just twelve years old.
After graduating from high school, Alen attended MC College, where he earned his cosmetology license and further developed his skills. Today, with more than 16 years behind the chair, he has built a reputation for precision, consistency, and staying ahead of modern barbering trends.
Alen specializes in both classic and contemporary barbering, including precision fades, scissor work, modern hairstyles, straight razor shaves, beard shaping, razor line-ups, and custom hair tattooing. His attention to detail and commitment to quality have earned the trust of clients of all ages.
Education has always been a driving force throughout Alen’s career. In addition to serving his clients, he has enjoyed educating and mentoring aspiring barbers, believing that continuous learning is essential to the growth of the profession. His dedication to craftsmanship, professionalism, and exceptional client service continues to make King Cut a destination for quality barbering.
Ornella Yousif

Ornella Yousif is King Cut’s Customer Experience & Operations Manager, bringing over 14 years of professional experience in customer service, operations, and team leadership. She plays a vital role in ensuring the shop runs smoothly while delivering an exceptional experience for every guest who walks through our doors.
Her expertise includes client relations, sales, appointment coordination, maintaining shop standards, and optimizing daily operations. Ornella is dedicated to improving organizational processes, increasing efficiency, and creating systems that allow both our team and our clients to enjoy a seamless experience.
Passionate about people, Ornella is committed to fostering a welcoming environment built on professionalism, trust, diversity, and inclusion. As the first point of contact at King Cut, she is always happy to answer questions, assist with bookings, and ensure every client feels valued from the moment they connect with us.
Keegan Thomas

Keegan discovered his passion for barbering at just seven years old, after receiving his first pair of clippers as a Christmas gift from his grandmother. What started as a childhood interest quickly grew into a lifelong passion as he spent years practicing haircuts and perfecting fades on family and friends while still in school.
Originally from The Pas, Manitoba, and later living in Prince Albert, Keegan has since made Saskatoon home, where he continues to grow his career, with 8+ years behind the chair. He specializes in mid length haircuts, skin fades and taper fades while confidently working with all hair types, textures, and styles.
For Keegan, barbering is more than a profession, it’s a craft he genuinely enjoys. He takes pride in delivering clean, detailed cuts and creating an experience that leaves every client feeling confident and looking their best. His dedication to continuous improvement and attention to detail make him a valued member of the King Cut team.
Vince Umali

Vince Umali discovered his passion for barbering at the age of 14, when he purchased his first pair of clippers and began cutting hair for family and friends. Now with 5+ years behind the chair, what started as a hobby quickly grew into a dedicated career driven by creativity, precision, and a genuine passion for helping others look and feel their best.
Vince enjoys working with all hair types and specializes in precision fades, mid-length hairstyles, and beard grooming. Known for his attention to detail and personalized approach, he takes the time to understand each client’s style and preferences to deliver a haircut that complements their look and lifestyle.

Kat Treen

Kat (they/them) is a skilled Journeyperson Barber with over 14 years of experience, recognized for their passion, creativity, and commitment to helping every client look and feel their best. Their approach to barbering is rooted in authenticity, professionalism, and creating a welcoming experience for every guest who sits in their chair.
As a queer, Two-Spirit Ojibway and neurodivergent barber, Kat is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and affirming environment where clients of all backgrounds feel respected, comfortable, and confident. They believe barbering is about more than great hair, it’s about creating a space where people can express themselves and leave feeling empowered.
Kat specializes in perms, custom hair tattooing, medium-length hairstyles, beard grooming, children’s haircuts, and gender-affirming barbering services. Their attention to detail, technical expertise, and personalized approach have earned them the trust of a diverse clientele.
Outside the shop, Kat enjoys volunteering, spending time outdoors, and giving back to the community. Their dedication to both their craft and the people they serve makes them a valued member of the King Cut team.
Meelad Alyas

Meelad Alyas discovered his passion for barbering at a young age and pursued it as a career immediately after graduating from high school. Originally from Iraq and raised in Saskatoon, Meelad brings a unique perspective to his craft, blending cultural influences with modern barbering techniques to deliver exceptional results.
Meelad specializes in precision skin fades, beard grooming, sharp line-ups, and mid-length hairstyles. Known for his attention to detail and commitment to quality, he takes pride in creating customized looks that complement each client’s style, personality, and preferences.
Dedicated to continuous growth, and with 5+ years behind the chair, Meelad is always refining his skills and staying current with the latest barbering trends and techniques. His goal is to provide every guest with an outstanding experience, ensuring they leave the chair looking sharp, feeling confident, and excited to return. George Issa

After completing his training, George worked alongside experienced barbers who helped shape his skills and approach to the profession. Through those experiences, he developed an appreciation for the artistry of barbering and the relationships built behind the chair. Brenden Toma is a dedicated barber born and raised in Saskatoon, with over five years of experience in the industry. Outside the barbershop, Brenden enjoys working on project cars and spending time on the basketball court. He brings the same focus, discipline, and attention to detail from his hobbies into every haircut, making him a valued member of the King Cut team.
Amanda Hagel
Receptionist/Front Desk Manager
Amanda Hagel has served as the Receptionist and Front Desk Manager at King Cut Barbershop since October 2024. Born and raised in Saskatoon, she is dedicated to creating a welcoming, professional, and seamless experience for every client who visits the shop.
Known for her exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to outstanding customer service, Amanda plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of King Cut. She oversees appointment scheduling, coordinates front desk operations, supports the barbering team, and ensures every aspect of the client experience is handled with efficiency and care.
Amanda believes that an exceptional barbershop experience begins the moment a client walks through the door. Her approachable demeanor, professionalism, and commitment to excellence help foster the warm, inviting atmosphere that defines King Cut Barbershop.
Outside of work, Amanda is a proud wife and mother of two young boys. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling, exploring new places, and trying new foods (excluding seafood). Whether at work or at home, she values building meaningful connections and creating positive experiences for those around her.
